CEREC® restorations are made using chairside technology that allows our dentists here at Eureka Smiles to take a digital impression of your teeth before custom-designing your porcelain crown. These digital impressions offer extremely accurate results, capturing the smallest crevices of your teeth to achieve a fit that is as precise and comfortable as possible. To create your custom restoration, an in-house milling machine forms your porcelain crown from a piece of a high-density, high-quality ceramic block. Once the process is complete, the crown will be placed on the affected tooth (or dental implant) with a durable cement, and then given a final polish.

A porcelain crown typically lasts between 10-15 years with proper care, though some crowns may last up to 30 years. However, if you are prone to grinding or clenching your teeth, the lifespan of your restoration can be significantly reduced. For these patients, our dentists generally recommend wearing a nightguard to keep their teeth and their new restoration protected while sleeping.
